As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, the MVMA is taking steps to protect our staff and our members. NEWS UPDATE: Gov. Whitmer rescinds EO 2020-34, lifting restrictions on veterinary medicine

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer rescinded Executive Order 2020-34 with Executive Order 2020-96, allowing veterinarians to perform any and all procedures. The new order is effective, Friday, May 29.

Safety guidelines for veterinarians are now available and can viewed in Executive Order 2020-97.

              IRS has issued guidance allowing all individual and other non-corporate tax filers to defer up to $1 million of federal income tax (including self-employment tax) payments due on April 15, 2020, until July 15, 2020, without penalties or interest. The guidance also allows corporate taxpayers a similar deferment of up to $10 million of federal income tax payments that would be due on April 15, 2020, until July 15, 2020, without penalties or interest. This guidance does not change the April 15 filing deadline.
