Canine Ultrasound Lecture and Wet Lab Forum

Registration Limited to 30 Participants

This laboratory will provide hands-on laboratory instruction on canine abdominal ultrasonography. The objective of this instructional laboratory is to provide the basic skill to perform an ultrasound of the abdomen using ultrasonography. The laboratory will be taught by Board Certified Radiologists and several Radiology residents with a maximum enrollment of 30 practitioners to ensure the greatest personal attention and ultrasound instruction. The overall goal is to be comfortable with ultrasounding the liver, spleen, kidney, urinary bladder and gastrointestinal tract. A morning brunch, breakfast refreshments, and a lunch will be provided. In addition, a DVD with case material as well as instructional lectures will be provided for each participant.

Lecture: Abnormalities of the Liver, Spleen, and Urinary System

10:30 am - 12:30 pm
Canine Ultrasound Wet Lab - Finding the Liver, Spleen, Kidney

12:30 - 1:20 pm

1:30 - 2:20 pm
Lecture: What About the Small Intestine? Ultrasounding the GI Tract

2:30 - 3:20 pm
Lecture: Case Presentations

3:30 - 5:30 pm
Canine Ultrasound Wet Lab - Evaluate the Entire Abdomen
