Are You Ready for Mandatory CME?

On March 15, 2016, Governor Snyder signed House Bills 4408 and 4999 into law requiring continuing medical education (CME) for veterinarians and veterinary technicians. Prior to this, Michigan was the only state without such a requirement.

MVMA has launched our new Continuing Education (CE) portal, available exclusively to MVMA members to help you keep up with CME requirements! On our portal, there are over 1,100 courses you can choose from, with more than 500 that are completely free. The portal was developed in conjunction with the World CE Alliance and the World Veterinary Association.

The MVMA CE portal is an easy and inexpensive way to obtain the credits you'll need. In addition, our portal will track your CE, even from external sources, and you can enter requirements for licenses you hold in other states so that it will track your compliance with those laws as well. In order to take advantage of this new member benefit, login to the MVMA website at http://www.michvma.org/?page=WCEAOnlineCEPortal to create a free account. If you need assistance, contact us at mvma@michvma.org to register.
