About the Program

Once again the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association brings together experts in animal behavior and welfare from across the country for a full day of educational sessions. We are pleased to offer some of the country's most sought-after speakers in animal welfare and know that you will enjoy their presentations. MVMA encourages all those interested in animal welfare to attend including:

  • Veterinarians, veterinary technicians and veterinary practice staff
  • Humane society and other shelter personnel
  • Farmers/producers and related organizations
  • Rescue groups
  • Students
  • Animal owners/advocates

The conference will emphasize how veterinarians work together with producers and others for humane treatment of animals at every stage of life. A variety of issues facing veterinarians and and other individuals involved in all aspects of animal care and handling will be examined.
