YOUR EFFORTS WORKED!

In early December, we asked for your help to defeat HB4980, a telehealth bill that did not require an in-person VCPR. HB4980 died on the House floor during lame duck, we believe largely due to your efforts. Although the best thing for animals and veterinarians would have been to pass the bill with a required in-person VCPR, this is the best result we could have hoped for. MVMA will continue to advocate for getting an in-person VCPR in statute. In the meantime, thank you for playing a part in protecting animals and the veterinary profession in Michigan.
