THE EARNED SICK TIME ACT IS COMING - IS YOUR PRACTICE PREPARED?

The Earned Sick Time Act (ESTA) is a Michigan law going into effect on February 21st that will mandate employers of all sizes provide all employees (regardless of status) with paid sick time based on hours worked. Join us on January 22, 2025 as Jodi Schafer, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Owner of Human Resource Management Services, discusses how the Earned Sick Time Act will affect veterinary practices and their employees.

AVMA CVTEA SEEKS ACCREDITATION VOLUNTEERS

The AVMA Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (CVTEA) is searching for a veterinarian within Michigan to serve on the site team. Only one DVM per site visit is needed, and visits will occur at Macomb Community College, Baker College of Cadillac, and Baker College of Muskegon. Signing up does not obligate the volunteer or guarantee a spot on a site team. This form is designed to collect a pool of interested volunteers.

Please read through the DRAFT MVPA, then complete a short form to let AVMA know what specific changes you would like to see and what your rationale is for those changes.
